Description

Thermodynamic is a class about the energy transfer by heat and work. This includes the analysis of phase changes, heating, cooling, and power generations systems. It feeds into the study of heat transfer processes. Thermodynamics has its biggest application for mechanical engineers in engine design and analysis. This class builds on work and energy concepts from mechanical physics, and basic thermodynamic concepts touched on in introductory chemistry. Calculus concepts are also occasionally touched on. However, this course largely builds from the ground up.
