This class introduces Python programming to first semester engineering students at Texas A&M. No prior coding experience is necessary, but it would prove very beneficial. This skill learned in this course continue to be used most directly in Numerical Methods, MEEN 357, but are also employed for calculations and simulations in various classes such as heat transfer and dynamics and controls.
The resources we most highly recommend are GeeksForGeeks and W3 schools. The articles on these sights contain fuller explanations of principles and techniques than forum-style sites like Stack Overflow. For that reason, we find them more suitable for long term growth and understanding.
